We know that cis women, trans women, trans men, gender non-conforming and LGBTQIA parents that are Black or of Color are often left out of the mainstream parenting content. The Lavender Stand seeks to change that.

There is virtually no site for Black and people of color that are young/ financially poor/single mothers/Immigrant parents/TGNC parents/ differently abled parents/ formally incarcerated parents to share their experiences and or view their experiences in parenting content. The Lavender Stand seeks to elevate these voices through storytelling content that is relatable and necessary.

Why stories? Storytelling shifts culture, practices, and out dated rules around expectations, funding, and field norms.
